Edit by chat with the director
Type what you want changed. The director lists its changes and nothing happens until you apply them.
The director is a chat box in the editor. It is quicker than the controls for changes that touch many shots at once, such as "under 30 seconds".
- In the editor, open the Director tab.
- Type in Message the director and press Send, or tap one of the suggestions such as "Shorter, 20 seconds" or "Spanish voiceover".
- The director replies with the list of changes it would make. Nothing has changed yet.
- Press Apply to timeline to put the changes into the shot list, or Discard to drop them. After applying you can still adjust anything by hand.
- Press Apply changes to render.
It can do what the shot list does: reorder and remove shots, set shot lengths or a total length, change camera moves, set the opening shot and hook line, rewrite narration lines, turn narration on or off, change the language, set on-screen captions, change the caption style or type kit, and change the music mood.
It cannot pick a different voice (use the voice picker under Narration script), swap or edit photos, regenerate a clip, download files, remove a watermark or change your plan.
