Zillow listing video: how a video actually gets onto Zillow in 2026
Zillow stopped hosting uploaded listing video at the start of 2023. Video is back on some listings now, but the route most agents have is the same one it has always been: the MLS.

Some agents report seeing a direct video upload option on standard listings. Zillow does not document it publicly, so we do not count on it.
The MLS route, step by step
Zillow builds most listing pages from MLS feeds. Whatever sits in the MLS virtual tour field travels with the listing, so a working, unbranded link there reaches Zillow, Realtor.com and most other portals at once.
- Make the film. Property Video Generator renders an unbranded MLS cut with every film: widescreen 16:9, no logo, no contact card, no branded end card.
- Get a link that plays without a sign in: the unbranded link from your listing website, or the MLS cut uploaded as an unlisted YouTube or Vimeo video.
- Paste the link into your MLS's virtual tour field (the name varies: Virtual Tour URL, Unbranded Tour, Video URL).
- Confirm syndication to Zillow is on for that listing in your MLS.
- Check the Zillow listing a day later. If the link is missing, it is almost always the MLS feed or a branded link the MLS rejected.
What Property Video Generator does and does not do with Zillow
Two things we are deliberately clear about. First, Property Video Generator does not import photos from Zillow links. Zillow's terms forbid it, so a Zillow, Trulia or HotPads link is refused on the create page. Second, Property Video Generator does not upload anything to Zillow, Showcase or Aryeo. We have no Zillow integration. The route we support is the unbranded MLS cut and link, which reaches Zillow the same way every other MLS media field does.
Mind the coming soon rules
Zillow's Listing Access Standards, introduced in 2025, expect a home that is publicly marketed to be submitted to the MLS within one business day, and listings that break the rule can be kept off Zillow. Zillow softened its enforcement in March 2026, but as of October 2026 the one business day expectation still stands, and NAR's Clear Cooperation Policy has a similar rule.

Length and pacing for portal viewers
Someone watching a video on Zillow has already clicked on the house. They are comparing it with three others, often on a laptop. That viewer wants rooms in order, held long enough to read, and not a beat drop every second. Calm luxury with narration at 60 to 90 seconds suits the MLS cut; if you are a Showcase listing, the 120 second cap leaves room. More on choosing a length in how long a listing video should be.

Can I upload a video directly to my Zillow listing?
As of October 2026, Zillow documents in-carousel video only for Showcase listings, uploaded by the listing's photographer through Aryeo. For standard listings, the documented route is a virtual tour link in the MLS, which Zillow reads from the feed.
Why isn't my virtual tour showing on Zillow?
Usually the MLS did not send it: syndication is off for that listing or media type, the field was filled after the feed ran, or the MLS rejected a branded link. Check the MLS listing first, then wait a day for the feed.
Can Property Video Generator make a video from my Zillow listing link?
No. Zillow's terms forbid importing its listing pages, so Zillow links are refused. Upload your photos or use the listing link from Redfin, Realtor.com or your brokerage site.
Does the MLS cut work for Zillow Showcase?
Showcase videos must come from the photographer who supplied the listing's media, uploaded through Aryeo, and run 120 seconds or less without persistent logos. Property Video Generator does not upload to Aryeo; whether a given video qualifies is up to Zillow.
Is a Zillow 3D Home tour the same as a listing video?
No. A 3D Home tour is an interactive walk through captured with Zillow's app. A listing film is a narrated video. Many listings have both.
