Real estate agent intro video
Real estate agent intro video: a script and shot plan you can film on your phone
An intro video needs you in it. Property Video Generator makes listing films from photos and does not film or edit talking heads, so this page is the honest version: how to shoot your own intro well, and where a listing film fits next to it.

What an intro video is for
A seller who is choosing between three agents watches your intro to answer one question: do I want this person in my kitchen for the next two months? They are not checking your production budget. They are checking whether you sound like you know the market and whether you are easy to talk to.
That is why a phone video, shot well, usually beats a studio piece where you read a teleprompter in a blazer. It looks like you will look when you show up.
A 45 second script
Four beats. Read it out loud and cut any sentence you would not say to a stranger at an open house.
| Beat | Time | What to say | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who and where | 0 to 6 s | Your name and the specific area you work, not the whole metro | "I'm Dana Ruiz. I sell homes in South Austin, mostly east of Lamar." |
| Proof | 6 to 18 s | One concrete thing you know or have done, without inventing numbers | "I've lived in Bouldin for eleven years, and I can tell you which streets flood and which ones don't." |
| How you work | 18 to 35 s | What a client actually experiences with you | "Every listing gets a photographer, a film for social and the MLS, and a weekly call from me. You'll never have to chase me for an update." |
| Next step | 35 to 45 s | One low pressure action | "If you're thinking about selling next year, send me your address and I'll tell you honestly what it would take." |
Only claim what is true and what your state's advertising rules allow; many states require your brokerage name in advertising, so put it in the caption or on a lower third. If you want help with wording, our scripts that sell homes post covers the same principles for listings.
The shot plan
- Talking shot, 9:16, phone at eye level on a tripod, rear camera, 4K or 1080p at 30 fps. Face a window so daylight falls on you; never sit with the window behind you.
- Sound: a clip on wireless mic or a wired lavalier. Bad audio loses people faster than bad video. Shoot in a quiet room with soft furnishings, not an echoing empty listing.
- Two or three cutaways of you in your area: walking past a local landmark, opening a front door, pointing at something in a kitchen. Five seconds each, no talking.
- Record the script three or four times. Use the take where you sound most like yourself, not the one with no stumbles.
- Edit in your phone's editor or CapCut: talking shot, cut to a cutaway on the "how you work" line, back to you for the next step. Add burned in captions; most people start it muted.
Pair the intro with a recent listing film
The "how you work" beat is much more believable when the next thing a viewer sees is the work. Take your most recent listing film's vertical cut and put it straight after the intro, either as one video joined in your phone's editor or as the next post on your profile.
- Pinned on Instagram or TikTok: intro first, the latest listing film second.
- In a listing presentation: send the intro, then the film of a similar home, so the seller sees what their listing would get.
- On your website or email signature: the intro on its own, linking to your listing films.
The branded cuts of each listing film can carry your logo and contact card from your brand kit, so your name is on the film as well as the intro. Keep the MLS cut unbranded.
Your voice across both
If you do the intro in your own voice and the listing film in a stock voice, the pair sounds like two different businesses. Two ways around it. On any plan, you can record your own listing narration in Property Video Generator, reading against a teleprompter in the browser, or upload a take you recorded elsewhere. On Pro and Studio, you can clone your voice after recording a consent statement, then have every listing narrated in it, in any of the 10 supported languages.
For agents who would rather stay off camera altogether, faceless real estate video covers what works without an intro at all.

Questions
Questions agents ask.
Can Property Video Generator make my agent intro video?
No. An intro video needs you on camera, and Property Video Generator makes listing films from photos. It does not record, edit or generate talking-head video, and it has no AI avatars. Shoot the intro on your phone; use Property Video Generator for the listing films that go with it.
How long should a realtor introduction video be?
30 to 60 seconds for social. A longer version, two or three minutes, can work on your website or in a listing presentation, where the viewer has already chosen to watch.
What equipment do I need?
A recent phone, a small tripod, a clip on mic and a window. Lighting and sound matter far more than the camera.
Can my listing films use my own voice?
Yes. Record your narration against the teleprompter or upload a take on any plan. Voice cloning, after a recorded consent statement, is on Pro and Studio.
