Why edited photos carry a label

Edited photos show "Digitally enhanced" and staged photos "Virtually staged", in the film and on the listing website. The label cannot be turned off.

Any photo changed with our tools carries a visible label: Digitally enhanced for twilight, blue sky and declutter, and Virtually staged for staging.

  • The label shows on that shot in every cut of the film and on that photo on the listing website.
  • It cannot be turned off while the edited version is in use.
  • Your original is kept. Choose Use original and the label goes with the edit.
  • Photos you edited in other software before uploading are not labelled. Disclose those yourself.

Disclosure rules differ by state and by MLS. California's AB 723, in effect since 1 January 2026, requires a statement on or next to a digitally altered listing photo and a link, URL or QR code to the unaltered original. Our label covers the statement. It does not publish your originals, so if you list in California, make the originals available where your MLS or listing requires. Read our disclosure overview and check your MLS rules.
