A photographer's guide to selling a video add-on
The offer, the per-listing math by plan, a delivery workflow, and how to handle client branding with what is built today.

You already have the hard part: the photos, the rights to them, and a relationship with the agent. A film made from that same set adds no time on site, so the only question is whether it is worth your time at the desk. This guide is our honest take on how to run it, including the parts of Property Video Generator that are not built yet.
Start with the per-listing cost
Work out what each film costs you before you put a price on it. Using monthly prices:
| Plan | Price | Listings a month | Cost per film if you use them all |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $39 a month ($29 billed yearly) | 4 | $9.75 |
| Pro | $99 a month ($79 billed yearly) | 12 | $8.25 |
| Studio | $249 a month ($199 billed yearly) | 40 | about $6.23 |
Say you shoot 15 listings a month and expect about half the agents to take the add-on. That is 7 or 8 films, which fits Pro with room to spare. At 30 shoots and a higher take rate, Studio starts to make sense. What you charge is your call and depends on your market; the point of the table is that the software is a small line on the invoice, and your review time is the real cost.
The offer, in one line
"A narrated listing film from today's photos, in every format you post to, delivered with the photos." Agents buy that sentence. They do not buy "5 aspect ratios" or "depth-based motion". Spell out what is included on your price sheet:
- Vertical for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, 4:5 for the Instagram and Facebook feed, square, widescreen for YouTube and their site.
- An unbranded MLS cut and link for the virtual tour field.
- Narration or music only, their choice.
- One round of changes. Put the number in writing.
The workflow we would use
- Shoot as normal, plus a few frames for motion: angled exteriors, a second angle of the living room and kitchen, and a twilight exterior when the schedule allows. The photo shot list has counts.
- Edit in Lightroom or whatever you use, and export.
- On the create page, drop in the photos, paste the agent's remarks into Listing description, and set price, beds and baths.
- Choose the vibe by property, not by habit. Calm luxury on a starter condo looks off.
- Watch the render on your phone. Fix the hook if needed, read every narration line, then press Apply changes.
- Press Download all (ZIP) and deliver it in the same gallery as the photos, with the film's Share link.
Branding for your client
This is the part to understand before you sell it. Branding comes from the account that makes the film, and there is no per-client brand kit yet. In practice you have three workable setups:
| Setup | How | Tradeoff |
|---|---|---|
| Deliver unbranded | Leave Branding off in the create flow. Every cut comes out clean. | Agents add their own end card, or post as is. Simplest for volume. |
| Per-film client details | If your account has no saved brand kit, Add branding lets you type the agent's name, brokerage, phone and email for that one film. | No logo or headshot. Works only while your own brand kit stays empty. |
| Swap the brand kit | Put a regular client's logo, headshot and contact card in your brand kit, make their films, then change it back. | Fiddly. Worth it for two or three regulars, not twenty. |
Whatever you choose, the MLS cut never shows branding.
Upsell: the listing website
Each film can get its own page at a /l/ link: the film first, then the gallery, details, a map, the agent's contact card and a showing request form that emails the account owner. It shows views, plays, watch depth and where visitors came from, and gives you a print-ready QR code. It is listed on Pro and Studio, and during early access every plan can publish one. Since showing requests go to the account that owns the film, decide up front whether you forward them or whether the agent should run that listing on their own account.
Rights and disclosure
- Add a line to your terms: the film is licensed to the agent for marketing the property, on the same terms as the photos.
- If you stage, replace skies or declutter with our tools, the film and website carry a visible label that cannot be removed. Edits done in your own software before upload are not labelled for you.
- The narration is written from the details you enter. Read it before delivery. The agent is the one who answers for a wrong square footage.
What agents will ask you
Is it a real video?
It is a film built from your photos: camera motion made from depth in each frame, a score cut to its length, narration and captions. It is not drone or walkthrough footage, and you should not sell it as if it were. We do not accept video clips or drone footage as input.
Will it change the house?
The depth moves keep walls, windows and fixtures as photographed. Paid plans can add a few generated hero shots (4 on Starter, 8 on Pro, 12 on Studio); these are checked against the source photo and labelled in the film. If an agent wants none, remove those shots in the editor; they are marked AI shot in the shot list.
How fast?
Rendering takes a few minutes. Your review is the slow part, so quote same day, not same hour.
Working with assistants
Studio includes 5 seats and Pro 2. Invite an editor and they can build films on your plan with your brand kit, while billing stays with you as owner. See invite teammates and roles.
