Instagram Reels and TikTok safe zone checker
Free, no sign up. A few uses per visitor so it stays free for everyone.
What to check
- Captions, the address and the price sit in the clear middle area.
- Nothing you need read sits under the right rail of buttons.
- Your logo or contact card is not in the bottom caption area.
Zones are approximate and change with app updates. Check a test post on a phone before a campaign.
The dashed box is the area that stays clear on Instagram Reels.
Using the result
What to do with the result
- 01
Check the first two seconds
Scrub to the opening frames. The hook and any price or address text should sit inside the dashed box, because that is the part of the video people decide on.
- 02
Boosting it? Use the stricter zone
The Instagram overlay here covers an organic Reel. If you run the Reel as an ad, Meta's guidance is stricter: keep about the top 14% and bottom 35% of a 1080x1920 frame clear, roughly 270 and 670 pixels, and 6% at each side.
- 03
Move the text, not the shot
If a caption sits under the right rail of buttons, move it left and up rather than reframing the room. Keep the kitchen island or the view out of the bottom band too: on TikTok that is where the caption and account name sit.
Questions
Questions about this tool
Is my video uploaded?
No. The file is opened in your browser and never leaves your device.
How accurate are the zones?
They are approximate, based on how each app lays out its interface on a typical phone, and they move when apps redesign. Treat them as a guide and check one test post on a real phone before a campaign.
What if my video is not vertical?
The checker fills the 9:16 frame the way most apps crop it and warns you, so you can see what a 16:9 walkthrough loses on a phone: usually both sides of every room.
Every cut framed for the feed it is going to
Property Video Generator keeps captions and text inside the Reels and TikTok safe zone and reframes every shot for 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and 16:9. Two listings a month are free.
