Plenty of people watch Reels and TikTok with the sound off, at a desk or in bed next to someone asleep, so the captions have to carry the narration. Word by word styles like Karaoke or Word pop keep the eye moving on a fast Bold modern cut. On a slow Calm luxury film, Cinema or Minimal sits better: a quiet subtitle low in the frame that does not fight the room.

Contrast matters more than the font. White text over a bright kitchen disappears; Boxed label, Highlight box and Glass pill put a solid or frosted backing behind the words, so they hold up over any room. Check the shot where the caption sits over a window.
